Around Scotland
- ~the
Scottish
Regions tell us about
themselves~
This is
The Section where the various
and varied Scottish regions tell you
why a trip to Scotland is not complete without a visit
to see their beautiful area...
...Scotland is a country of widely differing landscapes
– from cosmopolitan cities to breathtaking coastal and
mountain views, from lakelands (Lochs) to flat, rolling
pastures. Steeped in history, there are very
few places you will visit that do not have a tale to
tell and a ruined (or perfectly preserved, in many cases)
building or artefact to confirm what transpired at this
place. Palaces, Castles, Battlefields, Abbeys and
Churches…Scotland is
overflowing with these…and much, much
more.

Every region
of Scotland has something to offer the
visitor – and they are so happy to see visitors that we
have no doubt you will find the welcome warm and generous
– wherever you go in this green
land....
...A
trip toGlasgow, once a heavily industrialised
city, will surprise you with its vast areas of parkland
and countryside - cosmopolitan shopping and
eating/drinking, combined with the famous ‘Glesga’ warmth
and wit. Edinburgh, a beautiful city by the coast – the
Castle dominating the city and so many wonderful things
to see and do. I could go on an on (no! I hear you
plead) about the other major cities and regions
of Scotland, but I hope you get the
picture.
Now,
let the Regions, and the Districts, tell you
themselves why you really should visit
them. Take a look at their pages; perhaps use
the link to their own websites, where much more
information will be readily
available...
...Maybe there's
something you never knew about, waiting for
you...
...to discover it.
