SCOT
-T ALK...
...Everyone knows there are MANY MILLIONs of Scots around the world; this is a
Fact.
Trouble is, very often one Scot doesn't know where
another one is; could be in his or her own neighbourhood, working in the same office block,
going to the same ball games to shout for the same teams, taking the kids to the same schools, swimmimg in
the same pools.
Very often, they'd like to meet more of the folk with Scots Blood in their
veins, but don't (too busy, too shy, too ....lots of possible reasons) do anything about it. And as Scots go
on vacation worldwide, it could be nice to know where to meet members of your own Clan or Family in strange
places, and hear how they live, and what their Scottish Roots are... and meet new
friends.
THIS is what Scot-Talk is
for...

This new, free, site is set up in Scotland, for those
with Scots blood, Scots connections - and Scotophiles - to be able to meet, talk, share experiences and
interests. You can set up your own groups for discussions, contacts, events advice, family happenings, Clan
business and furtherance, or anything you like. Use the site to create your own Blogs. Add your own photos and
videos.
The Blogs section is there for you, to be
able easily to do this; either for general publication, or to create a personal and personalised Group Blog, where you can restrict membership only
to those people you want to have access - like a family Blog, or a Dance Group Blog, or a Sports-based Blog -
or whatever you like.
It also allows you to comment on any Blogs set up by others - you may gain more friends
and contacts this way - and post your own Blogs about your own interests. OR, if there's anything you're
looking to find in Scotland, we'll be setting up a section where you can do just
that.
You'll be able to text-chat
with your contacts, or use an audio line - or video call, just like
Skype.
The Forum section allows you to set up
discussion groups; use this for your pet likes & dislikes, and expect serious comment
back.
You can even use the site to publicise Scottish Groups' forthcoming events - - just click
on the"Events"tab at the top of the page, and tell the world all about it; there's
a facility to put in a map, too.
_________ _________
LOST TOUCH? There's an extension of the
"find it in scotland" service, where you can post notices in Blog form to ask for help to find
lost friends and relatives. OR, you could use this facility to ask for help to find some out-of-the-way item
you have a special need for; someone may have it, or know where you can find it.
So
please, join us; help to bring more Scots together, and promote our Scots Heritage
across the world.
