The United Arab Emirates is a Middle Eastern federation of seven states. It's situated in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula in Southwest Asia on the Persian Gulf, bordering Oman and Saudi Arabia. The seven states, termed Emirates, are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain. UAE has one of the most diverse populations in the Middle East. [An estimated 85 percent of the population consists of non-citizens]. The most populated city is Dubai, with approximately 1.6 million people. Other major cities include the Capital,Abu Dhabi; Al Ain, Sharjah, and Fujairah.
